Emergency Family Shelter Program
This is a transitional housing program that is set-up to help women with children who are living on the street find employment and permanent housing. The Center has five small units on site that can offer five women and seven children the assistance they need to regain their self-sufficiency.
It is in this program that clients receive the most comprehensive array of services the Center can offer, especially in the area of case management, counseling and financial management. This is because these women are trying to keep their families together under extremely precarious circumstances and must care for their children, as well as pull together all the crucial resources necessary to stabilize their family, and find both employment and permanent housing. All the services described and offered in the Men’s Advancement Program, are available and utilized to help these fragile families get back on their feet.
