Jim Dyrness as Santa
The SVdPLA Santa Claus, our Vincentian volunteer Jim Dyrness, played Santa every year to thousands of disadvantaged children and their families at our CHP Toy, Food and Shoe Giveaway, most recently Dec. 15, 2018. He wasn’t feeling well before this last giveaway but insisted on being Santa for the kids with his warmth and love. Jim served the poor of Glendale for 32 years as a member of the SVdPLA Conference of Charity at Incarnation Catholic Church.
