Last Sunday, April 23, 2021, Vincentians from across Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles County gathered virtually for SVdPLA’s 2021 Annual Meeting. From 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, Vincentians attended virtual Mass, received updates on the impact of their work, heard from passionate keynote speakers, and celebrated another year serving with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Last fiscal year, our 2,177 Vincentians assisted 33,817 people in need with food, rental/bill-paying assistance, clothing, furniture, and more. During the pandemic, Vincentians found creative ways to serve those in need safely, especially at a time when help was so needed.
Thank you to our keynote speakers, Fr. Gregory Gay and Jose “Che” Ramirez, Deputy Mayor for City Homelessness Initiatives for your time and wisdom.
We especially thank all our Vincentians for their continued dedication to serving the unhoused and the most vulnerable in our communities. Their passion and service allow SVdPLA’s founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam’s, legacy of charity to continue.
