The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Los Angeles is looking forward to hosting the Believe to Achieve youth program throughout the months of August and September in our Shoe Palace classroom located at our Los Angeles thrift store location. It’s an after school youth program based on Howard White’s bestselling book, “Believe to Achieve” that aims to inspire youth, help identify their dreams, gain the skills and confidence to achieve their goals, and walk through life with their heads held high.
In this 10-week long after-school program, youth will be provided with the tools needed to believe in themselves and achieve their goals through personal development and mentorship programs. It is an innovative seminar designed to encourage youth to believe in themselves and adults to mentor them.
Youth will have the opportunity to listen and connect with business professionals from various industries who will share their personal journey and interact with the kids directly to answer questions and encourage them further. Sometimes guest speakers even include celebrities, professional athletes, and artists! It is truly an inspiring experience that can change the course of a child’s youth for the better.
We are currently looking for 10 students between the ages of 14-17 who are interested in joining this interactive program. Classes will meet for 10 weeks beginning August 2nd and will take place every Monday & Wednesday between 4-6pm.
