St. Vincent de Paul of Los Angeles attended the annual Religious Education Congress at the Anaheim Convention Center alongside hundreds of other Catholic organizations from February 21 to February 23. At our booth, we had material that described all our programs, our mission and the opportunities we are currently offering.
If you were unable to attend the event, we have compiled a list of all the literature at our booth so you won’t miss out.
Five Opportunities with SVdPLA
1. Book the perfect retreat location at Circle V Ranch! Our modern facilities nestled in the mountains of Santa Barbara are ideal for workshops, Confirmation retreats, seminars and more.
2. Circle V Ranch transforms into a children’s summer camp during the summer months. Children trade in electronics and the busyness of city life for a week in nature with new friends. Sign up or sponsor a child today!
3. Our summer camp is also hiring camp counselors! It is a tremendous opportunity for those who love the outdoors and want to make a difference in the lives of children. Apply today!
4. Serve a meal or donate supplies to our homeless shelter. This is a fantastic opportunity for service groups or corporations looking to give back. Our homeless shelter, the Cardinal Manning Center is located near Los Angeles’ Skid Row. If interested, please contact either Diana Rongavilla at drongavilla@svdpla.org or Silvia Huerta at shuerta@svdpla.org.
5. Become one of the 2,000 Vincentian Volunteers who provide home visits, soup kitchens and other resources to aid those in need. You can find our volunteer groups in the Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Call 1-888-552-7872 to find one closest to you!
